Birdie and the Beastly duke was a quick read but a fun one!This beauty and the beast inspired read will keep you turning the pages, laughing at the witty exchanges, and feeling for the two main characters as they try to find their way in life.Birdie was a strong, stubborn heroine who wasn’t afraid to do things herself. Her attitude was endearing and helped all those around her.Gabriel is one of my favorite leads! Scarred in almost every way in the battle of Waterloo , he hides away from people. But he isn’t all that bad as you read along. The twist the author took on the personality of the “beast” was refreshing and paired well with Birdie, who proved to be more stubborn than he at times.The appearance of characters from previous books was fun to see and added some laughs. It also lays the ground work for the last book in the series ,of which has already been added to my list.All in all, a quick but great read.
